This interior home painting project included the installation of custom wainscoting, crown moulding, custom door casing, baseboards and quarter round. The previously installed wallpaper border strip around the top of the room had to be removed. The towel bar was removed and all minor drywall repairs were carried out. The walls, ceiling and new trim work were all primed, painted and caulked with the upper half of the walls receiving an extra faux finish top coat. Two full coats of base color are applied before adding the third and final faux finish coat. The glaze used in the faux finish wall treatment provides excellent protection for the high moisture content of a bathroom. New towel bars were also installed. The wainscoting consists of finger trim arranged on the drywall in rectangular patterns and the entire area is painted white, from the chair rail to the baseboard. This bathroom makeover project was for a home located in Ottawa.
